What is ASTM?
ASTM International, formerly known as American Society for Testing and Materials, is an international standards organization. There are over 12,800 standards for a wide range of materials, products, systems and services.
ASTM F2100 face mask performance is based on five standards: bacterial filtration efficiency, differential pressure, sub-micron particulate filtration, resistance to penetration by synthetic blood, and flammability.

What are Level 1, 2, and 3 masks?
ASTM masks are divided into three categories:
- Level 1: for general population use and/or procedures that involve low aerosol and fluid production
- Level 2: used for procedures that involve moderate aerosol and fluid production
- Level 3: for procedures that involve high aerosol and fluid production

What are the materials for your procedural masks?
Our masks consists of 3 layers: an inner and outer spun bound polypropylene and a middle melt-blown polypropylene filter.
How long are procedural masks effective for?
Our disposable procedural masks are single use only. We recommend replacing the mask every 3-4 hours or if the mask become soiled or damaged.
The date on my box of masks show that they already expired?
The date on the box is the manufacture date, NOT the expiry date.
Do procedural masks expire?
Over time, procedural masks may degrade and may not provide you with optimal protection. We recommend disposing of the masks 3 (level 1) to 2 years (level 3) from the manufacture date.
What do I do if there are gaps on the side of my mask?
Our masks are one-sized only for universal wear. However, we understand that not all individuals may receive a tight, comfortable fit. To ensure a more snug fit, we recommend shortening the earloops by making a knot on the ends, and adjusting until comfortable.
